The main incomer that protects every circuit downstream — with fully adjustable coordination.
An Air Circuit Breaker panel is the main switching and protection point for large LT installations — factories, hospitals, data centres, and commercial complexes where the incoming current exceeds the rating of an MCCB and the prospective fault current is in the range of 25 to 65 kA. The ACB's LSIG (Long-time, Short-time, Instantaneous, Ground-fault) trip unit has independently adjustable settings for each protection function, allowing the protection engineer to set the incomer's characteristics to coordinate with every downstream MCCB and MCB in the installation. A properly coordinated incomer trips only on faults that no downstream device can clear — protecting the entire installation without blacking out the whole facility for a minor fault.
Sakthi assembles ACB panels with copper or aluminium busbars sized for the prospective short-circuit current, in compartment-type enclosures to IP42 or IP54 as required. The panel includes a full complement of metering — ammeter, voltmeter, power factor meter, and energy meter — so the facility manager has real-time visibility of the incoming supply. Protection, metering, and communications (Modbus RTU or BACnet) relay options are available for integration with building management or SCADA systems.
Typical applications
Acts as the main incomer for LT distribution boards, providing LSIG protection and metering for the entire facility.
Clears short-circuit faults with adjustable LSIG settings for selective coordination without tripping healthy circuits.
Installed in LT substations, chemical plants, and data centres requiring high breaking capacity of 25–65 kA.
Integrated ammeter, voltmeter, and energy meter provide real-time power data for demand management and billing.
